An Afternoon with Fr. Gregory Boyle: Thank you for your support!
At our event, 350+ people came together for a powerful, deeply meaningful experience of community and solidarity with our immigrant brothers and sisters.
Fr. Greg reminded us of how much we really do belong to each other, and that together is the only way we can move forward with love, compassion, and a deep valuing of the inherent dignity and worth of every person as our guides to our longed for Common Good.
We successfully surpassed our goal with all proceeds from the event supporting Oakland Catholic Worker and thank you and our mission to support immigrant families in urgent need in East Oakland.
The event opened with a warm welcome and heartfelt stories about OCW’s work with immigrant families from Executive Director Sister Anne Carrabino followed by a Q&A with Fr. Boyle facilitated by Bob Hernandez and closing remarks by Jim Beck, both OCW board members.
We want to recognize our generous sponsors including Bishop O’Dowd High School for hosting us in their beautiful Knauss multipurpose gymnasium.
Most importantly, to each of you that attended or donated to Oakland Catholic Worker to support our work with immigrant families here in Oakland.
Our sincere thank you to our generous and dedicated sponsors.
